Crane, Ind. – A select group of Indiana’s best and brightest college students were honored at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) when the Southern Indiana Section of American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE), Blacks in Government (BIG), the Association of Old Crows (AOC) and the Hoosier Hills Chapter of Federally Employed Women (FEW) hosted a joint scholarship luncheon at Club Lakeview on July 26.
The national American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) has named the Southern Indiana ASNE section (ASNE-SI) “Section of the Year” for the third consecutive year. ASNE sections from all U.S. Navy bases compete in four categories for the national awards, and NSWC Crane’s chapter also won the “Section Productivity Award” and an honorable mention for “Most Improved Section” for their work during 2015.
